Nominations are now open for the Society's National Executive elections.

Nomination forms must be received no later than 4.00pm Tuesday 12th March 2024.

The Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand (PSNZ) National Executive Committee (NEC) comprises of seven representatives elected from its Members. President Rhiannon Braund has resigned from their position creating room for a new person to join the Committee.

Nomination forms, along with the candidate’s brief biographical summary (no more than 400 words), their position statement (no more than 250 words) and a head-shot photo are to be returned to: p.society@psnz.org.nz Subject: National Executive Nominations

To be considered for the role, we are looking for members of the Society who are passionate, motivated and committed to upholding the best interests of the pharmacy profession.

Relevant professional experience in the pharmacy and wider health sector, along with good communication and decision-making skills are important.

An understanding of governance, strategy and finance would also be highly desirable.

The PSNZ Rules state:

The National Executive shall consist of:

- Seven fee-paying Members of the Society, elected by Members within the categories of membership set out in Rules 6.1.1 to 6.1.5, 6.1.7 and 6.1.9 and eligible to vote, of which no less than five elected National Executive members shall be pharmacists; and

- The President for the time being of Ngā Kaitiaki o Te Puna Rongoā o Aotearoa, provided that the President of Ngā Kaitiaki o Te Puna Rongoā o Aotearoa is a fee-paying Member of the Society.
