About the event
This course is provided by College Education and Training, a business unit of Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand Inc.
This webinar will cover the management of commonly encountered conditions in pregnancy, such as nausea and vomiting, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and depression.
Pregnancy-related considerations such as changes to drug handling (pharmacokinetics) and use of complementary and alternative products (CAPs) will also be discussed. Participants will be provided with tips for answering enquiries about pregnant patients and useful resources to use.
Tracey Borrie is an experienced medicines information pharmacist at Christchurch Medicines Information Service. She also works in primary care for a PHO providing education for health professionals; as well as doing MURs, MTAs and auditing in the community. Tracey has a particular interest in deprescribing, recently being involved in a research project investigating medication reviews with use of a prognostic indicator in aged residential care. Prior to specialising in Medicines Information, Tracey worked as a clinical pharmacist in hospitals around New Zealand, England and Ireland; and gained her Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy from University of Otago.
