New president of Pacific Pharmacists’ Association

Following a successful Annual General Meeting on Thursday 5th August 2021, Diana Phone has been elected president of the Pacific Pharmacists’ Association Inc. NZ.

Diana is a community pharmacist, a professional practice fellow at the University of Otago Pharmacy School, the clinical lead for the safety in practice community pharmacy programme at Waitematā District Health Board.

She is passionate about Pacific health and wellbeing, health literacy, quality improvement and innovation.

She is also currently pursuing a Masters in Health Science. Diana has won many accolades in her 10 year career, including being awarded New Zealand Pharmacist of the Year in 2017.

Diana has some big shoes to fill, taking on her role from past president Kasey Brown. We wish her all the best and we look forward to more meaningful initiatives from the Pacific Pharmacists’ Association team.
