Join our webinar to learn about vaccines available in New Zealand that pharmacists are able to administer (both funded and non-funded), patient advice around vaccination and how to address common vaccination-related questions. Also learn about the importance of maintaining the cold chain and the resources available to support pharmacy vaccination. Vaccine safety, surveillance and monitoring will also be discussed.

Shelley Kininmonth- Regional Immunisation Advisor for IMAC– covering the Central 6 DHBs. Background as Practice Nurse and Urgent Care Nurse.

Sally Schnauer – Covid Immunisation Educator/Facilitator for IMAC covering Auckland region. Background as a Pharmacist working in community and Education Manager for training Pharmacy Technicians.

Olivia Haslam – COVID Regional Immunisation Advisors for IMAC covering the Midlands region. Registered pharmacist with background in community pharmacy and as a pharmacist vaccinator.


Learning Objectives:

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to;

  1. Identify resources available to support pharmacy vaccination
  2. Describe the vaccines available in New Zealand that pharmacists are able to administer both funded and non-funded
  3. Discuss patient advice around vaccination and address common vaccination-related questions
  4. Explain the importance of maintaining the cold chain
  5. Describe vaccine safety surveillance and monitoring
