Dr Massimo Giola
Dr Massimo Giola obtained his medical degree in 1991 at the University of Pavia (Italy) and specialised in Infectious Diseases in 1996 (Italy).He moved to NZ in 2009, was accepted for the FRACP in 2012, and completed the specialty training in Sexual Health Medicine in Auckland in 2015. He lives in Tauranga, working for the BOPDHB as Consultant Physician and Clinical Lead of the Sexual Health Service. He is the NZ Representative in the Australasian Chapter of Sexual Health medicine since May 2018.

On completion of this course, pharmacists will be able to:
- Explain what combination prevention of HIV means
- Explain challenges of the traditional prevention methods (condoms)
- Describe new biopharmacological prevention strategies – and how pharmacists can play a role
- Explain how to support your next client with an antiretroviral prescription, for treatment or for prevention
A separate learning package must be purchased for each individual that requires assessment.
Group 1: TWO points – for listening to the recorded webinar but not doing the assessment, or
Group 2: FOUR points – for completion and submission of assessment questions (80% pass mark required). Pre reading is not assessed. Allocate Group 1 points based on one point per hour.
