Audio conference Programme 2009:
Audio conferences are an effective method for delivering a presentation about a particular topic. Audio conferences are backed up by pre-reading material which provides preparation and background information. Being able to listen live provides an opportunity to ask questions from a pharmacist’s own experience and practice, as well as perhaps get further clarification on an issue. Recordings of the presentation are made available to purchase if it is not possible for an individual to participate “live” (also allows greater flexibility for learning in own time). Audio conferences generally last around 2 hours and the “assessment” is often multi-choice questions or a list of the top points of learning gained. Recordings of all audio conferences from the past few years are available to purchase form the College Resource Shop.
