Kate is a Professional Practice Fellow at the School of Pharmacy, University of Otago and also works part-time in community pharmacy. Kate completed a Graduate Diploma in Bioethics and Health Law in 2011 and has been teaching pharmacy law to undergraduate pharmacy students for six years.

Learning Objectives:

On completion of this module participants will be able to:

  • Describe how different Acts, Regulations and Codes relate to NZ pharmacy practice.
  • Explain the relationship between Acts, Regulations and Codes relevant to NZ pharmacy practice.
  • Identify and interpret Acts, Regulations and Codes relevant to NZ pharmacy practice.
  • Apply relevant Acts, Regulations and Codes to NZ pharmacy practice scenarios.


Assessment:

This Programme consists of online Multi-choice Assessments and Case Scenario Assessments.

Pharmacists must achieve a pass mark in all assessments in order to attain completion. Marking will commence after the closing date for assignments of 15 August 2016 and completion advised thereafter (as these require manual marking).

Once completed a Certificate of Completion of Training will be forwarded.

One learning package must be purchased for each individual.

Group 2: THIRTY points – for successful completion (pass) and submission of all assessment questions. Readings are not assessed. Allocate Group 1 points based on one point per hour basis.

Access to this online course will expire six months after payment is received.
